Customer Appreciation Event Photos

Earlier this month we held our annual customer appreciation event. What a fun time! We snapped a few pics throughout the night…okay a bunch of photos. It’s always nice to look back at them and remember what a great night it was. Enjoy browsing our photo album.

Event Takeaways

We were lucky to have Jerrid Sebesta as our guest speaker for the night. Who knew that a guy who drives a 2006 Mint Green Prius could fit into a room of truck driving farmers!

Jerrid had lots of financial insight for farming operations and life in general. Many times he had us laughing, but yet deep in thought. Here are a few takeaways from Jerrid’s presentation that can help move you into the new year.

  • Ask yourself. “What do you want?” Many grown adults have no idea.
  • Have the “Magic Wand Conversation”? If you could wave a magic wand what would you life look like?
  • What is your calling/purpose? If you interlock farming with your purpose. It’s almost magical.
  • What is your mission!? How is your farming business fitting into your mission?
  • Why are you on earth? Think about what gets you up everyday.
  • Are you getting closer to or further away from that life you want?
  • Do you have the power to execute your dream? Are you in a position to make that happen?
  • Your ability to live the dream can be directly affected by how you manage or mismanage money. It’s not by how much you make.
  • Don’t have debt. You want power, don’t have dept.
  • You’ve got to save money. Duh!
  • Be thankful for the job you have, not a slave to it.
  • 70 percent of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. Don’t put yourself in the position.
  • Live on less than you make.
  • You budget for your farm? Why don’t you do it for your household?
  • Be a giver!!! It’s the only thing you can do with your money that changes you.

Season’s Greetings

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and and Happy New Year! ~From the AgVenture Pinnacle Team ~

Silent Impact by Joe Schmidt

AgVenture Crew with Joe SchmidtWe hope that you enjoyed our guest speaker Joe Schmidt and his inspirational and entertaining speech about purpose, persistence, and passion. We certainly did! Here are a few of our favorite quotes.

“We make our biggest impressions when we are not trying to be impressive.”
“Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest impact.”
“We all have a gift, make sure that you’re using it.”
“People won’t remember what you said or what you did, but they will remember how you made them feel.”
“Spend 90% of your time on the good stuff and only 10% of your time on the bad.”
“So many times we get so caught up in the destination that we forget to enjoy the journey.”
“If you want to be the best, you need to be better prepared than everyone else.”
“Be persistent in your passion.”
“Say a second “thank you” to those who made an impact in your life.”
“Think about who you would put on you Mt. Rushmore of impact. Simulate your life after those people.”
“Praise more, condemn less. There’s always something good to say about everyone.”

And how could we forget this one….“It don’t get no better than this!”  It certainly doesn’t! We were thrilled that Joe shared a copy of this bookSilent Impact” with each of us. We couldn’t have had a better night. Thank you for being part of it!

“Who’s Hiding the Humor?” Customer Appreciation Event a Success!

In the CCI office this morning, we are still smiling and chuckling from our customer appreciation event last night. It was definitely not one of those regular seed meeting that we find ourselves attending throughout the year. It was a night to honor our clients! A night of good conversation, even better company and a speaker who was honest, inspirational and humorous!

Who’s Hiding the Humor? – Jolene Brown

We were honored to have Jolene Brown come to Olivia and speak to a full house with over 140 in attendance! Her passion for ag advocacy, appreciation of hard work and ability to find the humor in any situation rang true during her entire speech. Everyone left the event with a more positive mindset than they came with. It was the perfect way to end the evening.

For those of you who were unable to attend our event, you’re in luck! Jolene will be returning to the area on Feb. 16th-17th, 2015 to speak at the Water Street EDGE Farm Business Seminar in Willmar, MN. Jolene is part of a group of top speaker who will share their expertise about managing a modern farming operation. We encourage all of you to attend and as an added bonus we are extending the Early Bird Rate to all CCI customers through December 31st, 2014. Please contact us for more information and to register.

In Life You Get What You Give

In celebration of another great year, we held our appreciation event last week with our amazing clients, co-workers and friends.  The event was a wonderful success and we truly are grateful for your patronage over the last year.

We hope that you enjoyed V.J. Smith as much as all of us from Corn Capital Innovations did!  He was such a powerful speaker! If you were unable to attend the event, we found the perfect video to show you what we all learned that evening.  This seven minute clip is full of snippets of what V.J. shared with us in Olivia.  He introduced us to Marty, the richest man in town.  Being loved, respected and content with every part of his life, with no regrets – that is what makes a rich man and that is Marty; a cashier at Wal-mart!

VJ Smith – The Richest Man in Town

We wanted to make this evening inspiring; something for you to really enjoy and connect with.  It’s our way of saying thank you! Please enjoy our collection of photos from the event below.

Here are a few quotes from V.J. Smith’s speech that caught our attention:
“It doesn’t take talent to hustle.”
“Farm kids grew up hustling, always did and always will!”
“People need to decide to get happy.”
“Remember, in life you get what you give!”

How were you as inspired by Marty’s story?  Was there a quote from V.J. Smith’s speech that you connected with? Please share in the comments. We wish you all a wonderful holiday season!
